My family and I started coming because a nice young boy asked for a hand up into a truck and his sister handed us cold water bottles on Halloween night. We went to service and I personal has some anxiety issues because of the loud music and how different it was from other churches. But we liked the people and the kids had a good time, and we went back. And after the third service we stayed later to talk (well my wife talked, I am just not an open person in those situations) and I saw people working at putting away the chairs. That was something I could help with, and I did. I helped put away chairs, take down pipe and drape, and talked to some really amazing people. Church for me, for most of my life, has been a 'go, listen, leave' experience. This was so much more. This is helping, building, and developing of not only a church but both the Church and the community of neighbors, friends and fellow believers.
Citizens church is the absolute kindest, fun, and welcoming community! They opened my eyes to what a strong, healthy church looks like & it's such a fun atmosphere. I was excited to attend again & would reccomend to anyone... of all ages and backgrounds. Amazing kids programs, too
