This place has a long way to go, to even get on the list of things it could learn from other successful truck stops. I read the reviews, but still decided to give them a chance simply because people will write bad reviews unjustly. So, we come into the place, 13 people in line, waiting to check out. We were doing a 34h Reset. Had a lot of laundry to get done and the room and machines were so filthy, I was reluctant to do my clothes in them. If I wasn't down to my last thread of clothing, I would have found a nearby creek to wash them in. Next morning, needed a shower.....wait time, approx 2 hours, 17 people in front of us. Anything you need a Cashier for requires a wait with about 10-15 people in front of you. Got in at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Friday and decided to pay $15 for Reserved parking rather than walk 1/4 mile from the back lot to the store every time we need something. Being in a Reserved spot 100 yards from the doors is somewhat better. Money hungry Pilot/Flying J, you only appreciate money. If you truly appreciated drivers, your over-priced EVERYTHING, would be reflective of that desire. I miss the small town Ma and Pa truck stops, they truly appreciated truckers. It was reflective in their attitude toward you. It felt like "coming home" vs ""buying a car" when coming into these all "plastic feeling, commercialized processing center like truck stops. Poor service from Giants like Flying J/Pilot, T/A, Petro and the DOT is enough to really turn a person off from trucking.......Permanently!!!!!
