Panda Express

The food in this place isn't bad, but the staff need some customer service training. On my visit there were three youngish hispanic ladies serving a line of customers. They were speaking Spanish amongst themselves (which I found rude and unprofessional) and English to customers. The staff were very poorly organised, when my plate was dished up it stood for ages while staff were chatting and doing other things. I noticed other customers' orders standing too. When I progressed up the line the server could not appear to fit the lid on my teriyaki sauce pot. She did it fine for the guy in front, but she spent several minutes trying to fit this plastic lid on a pot, I was concerned about my food going cold at this point and patiently asked why the server doesn't try another pot, or lid? The server called Keyla pointed out the sauce was hot and needed to cool off before the lid would fit (this wasn't needed for the guy in front of me). I also pointed out that by this time my food was cooling off too. Keyla said to me "Well you don't want hot sauce to spit in your eye when you open the lid do you?" She was agitated and seemed to have an attitude problem, taking objection to me daring to pass comment. What's more when I went back for a knife she was not convincing in her efforts to find one. For a lot of the time in the eating area, there was an engineer standing ON the counter (see photo) at the drinks machine repairing someting on top. When he left, none of the staff wiped the counter top; kids and parents were touching the surface where he was standing and then they were going away and eating their food. None of the staff seemed bothered with the hygiene risk. There also screaming kids running around the eating area out of control, this was disruptive to other customers and the staff made no attempt to ask the parents to control them.
