AT&T Store

This firm will forgo telling the truth for the purpose of selling a product and management will not back the employees "statement of fact". At the beginning of the visit, the question arose as to whether there would be a credit pull on my account because I was only adding another phone and have had great standing with ATT for years. I was informed that no hard credit check would be made, and if one was made, it would only be a soft credit check. I was informed of this on three different occasions. After the sale, the salesperson informed me that no credit check was performed at all. Two days later I was informed that a hard credit check was pulled. I called the store and spoke with the salesperson. He left a message for management to call me. Three subsequent messages left for management were left answered. The best I can figure out is they avoid any problems that may come about as a result of their staff passing bad information. Better to avoid than fix. ATT stated that because this was an authorized dealer, they have no control over the employees of the company. A pull on my credit report is not the problem, the falsification of information and failure to back their statements is. So if you visit this store, beware of any statements of facts or commitments, you may not get them.
