I am extremely angry this evening about what has happened to me here at horne. I went into buy the last new Dodge Dart 2016 that was on the lot. It was marked down to about 16,000 something. I spent 7 hours (10-5) at the dealership working with a man named Eugene Gaul, to have his manager come out at 4:30 and tell me that the banks just aren’t getting back to them. I explained, “Well I can come back tomorrow and get the rest sorted out.” And his manager tells me, “Well why don’t you go out and pick a Nissan Sentra and we can sell it to you right now.” I shake my head at him and tell him, “No i’ve been waiting to buy that Dodge Dart.” So Gene says to me, “well why don’t we just go test drive it.” I ask, “Can we stop at my grandparents house to see how they feel (as they were the ones co-signing).” And he agrees. We stop and my grandparents and they explain that they know I want the Dart. They know I will take care of something I want. So gene listens and on the drive back to the dealership is continually telling how much of a better deal the Dart is while we are in the Nissan. And I continue to tell him that I know and that i’ve Always wanted one. I explained to him earlier that I will make extra on payments and pay more when taxes come. And we get back to the dealership and I wait another 30 Mins after he was supposed to be telling the manager that I didn’t want to buy the Sentra I wanted the Dart. However that did not end up being the case. When we (Gene and I) were at my grandparents house my grandpa asked for gene to deliver the paperwork so I could look at it when I got home from my college class and they could see the interest rate before making a decision. I come home to find they had me put down on the paper as purchasing the Nissan Sentra the whole time after I got in the car! I feel extremely swindled just because I’m young and have a good job and credit score! I’m am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the service I received. Horne’s “promise” is that they will respect your time. I spent 7 hours there just for 2 men to try and get me to pay for a car that would have been 5,000 dollars more expensive than the one I continued to ask for. I’m extremely confused because my family has been buying cars from Horne for years and just bought one from them a few months ago! I understand that you are supposed to upsell but when a customer tells you that they are wanting something specific, it should be their job to help you get that. I am 19 years old and If I wanted to buy a Nissan Sentra I would have asked to drive it first. I am very appalled by the way I have been treated today after all my patience and spending 7 hours sitting in their offices for nothing. I will be going back tomorrow morning to see how they want to deal with this situation and see if I still even want to give my business to liars and greedy people who are out for money. I usually never write bad reviews on people. But I feel so angry about this one I just had to. (UPDATED) I arrived this morning at horne and expressed my concerns, everything was worked out in a timely matter and was leaving with my car in a very good manner. Gene made sure everything was fixed and Kevin made everything right by me. They were very helpful and understanding with why I was angry, explaining to me that it was all a misunderstanding. I’m very happy with the service that I was given this morning. Thank you Kevin and Gene!
